  • Pliers: dictionary.com: small pincers with long jaws, for bending wire, holding small objects, etc. John's Definition: A tool, similar in design to scissors but with a flat working surface, used to grasp items for the purpose of providing mechanical advantage.

Follow up for John:

  • Meetings - Terminology. We will have to discuss this further to be sure I understand what is being asked.
  • Business Lingo - This becomes an exercise in vocabulary. I can provide terms each meeting. If I understand the question correctly, I should also be looking at common business acronyms.
  • Current Events - starting Wednesday, we will start the class off with discussion on a particular new article.
  • Presentations - I propose that we have two projects during the class.
    • The first being a persuasive argument using multimedia. This would be a single person project.
    • Second would be a 2-3 person project and would involve analysis of a business issue distillation of alternative solutions, alliterating the pluses and minuses of each alternative and finalized with the preferred solution and why that solution would be best.
